Abstract:
A light source apparatus (10) in one embodiment is provided with a light source (11); an elliptic reflector (14) that collects light from the light source (11); a front reflector (16) that is arranged at a position facing the elliptic reflector (14), the cross-section thereof is a circular arc the center of which is approximately the position of the light source, and that has an opening section (21) for radiating light; and a circular reflector (13) that is arranged at a position opposite the front reflector (16), and that is for reflecting light heading towards a direction opposite the radiating direction. A light guiding body (30), having a light entering face the same size as the opening section (21), is formed so as to have the light entering face in proximity with the opening section (21). The light guiding body (30) is configured such that the diameter of the light entering face thereof matches line segments linking the intersections of the minor axis (18) of the elliptic reflector (14) and the elliptic face, and the second focal point (20) of the elliptic reflector (14).
