Abstract:
Provided is a light source apparatus having improved output and service life of an excitation light source by reducing input of excitation light to the excitation light source when a light source, which excites a fluorescent material by means of excitation light, and makes the fluorescent material emit fluorescent light, is used.
The light source apparatus is provided with: a plurality of excitation light sources (5a, 5b, 5c) that emit excitation light (50a, 50b, 50c); and a fluorescent material (3) that changes the excitation light to fluorescent light. The excitation light sources (5a, 5b, 5c) are disposed such that the excitation light (50a, 50b, 50c) outputted from respective excitation light sources is asymmetrically inputted with respect to an excitation light irradiation region (30) on the fluorescent material (3).
