Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to reduce the size of a light source device provided with a light emitting unit in which a plurality of light emitting elements comprising vertical cavity surface emitting lasers are arrayed, while making it possible to detect voltage for each of the light emitting elements. A light source device of the present technology is provided with: a light emitting unit in which a plurality of light emitting elements comprising vertical cavity surface emitting lasers are arrayed; and a detection unit which detects a voltage at the anode or cathode of the plurality of light emitting elements in the light emitting unit separately by time-division. In this way, the need for providing a circuit for voltage detection for each light emitting element is eliminated, and a decrease in device size can be achieved.
