Abstract:
Disclosed is a light source having improved light use efficiency. The light source is provided with an LED chip (11), and a package main body (12), which has an inside region where the LED chip (11) is mounted, and which has the surface facing one side in the direction (A) as a light emitting surface (12a), and the non light emitting surface (12b) connected to a wiring board (8). A protruding section (15) that protrudes outward in the direction (B) that intersects the direction (A) is provided on the package main body (12), and one surface of the protruding section (15) is formed as a sheet pressing surface (15a).
