Abstract:
A light source device is provided with: a reflective sheet which is suspended by protrusions which pass therethrough at a peripheral portion; and a light-guide plate disposed facing the reflective sheet. In the light source device, the light-guide plate has cutouts formed in an edge portion corresponding to the peripheral portion of the reflective sheet, at positions corresponding to the protrusions. The cutouts are used to extend the light-guide plate, enlarging the image display area. The light diffusely reflected near the cutouts is reflected toward the emitting surface side of the light-guide plate by the reflective sheet near the light-guide plate cutouts.
