Abstract:
Provided are: a light source device which is suitable as a light source that is required high color rendering properties; and an electronic device which uses this light source device. A light source device which is provided with: a first solid-state light source which produces light having a predetermined wavelength; a phosphor part on which light from the first solid-state light source is incident as excitation light, and which contains a fluorescent material that emits fluorescent light having a wavelength longer than the predetermined wavelength of the light produced by the first solid-state light source (blue LD); and a second solid-state light source (red LD) which produces light and has the light incident on the phosphor part, said light having a wavelength longer than the wavelength of the light produced by the first solid-state light source. The light produced by the second solid-state light source has a wavelength longer than the wavelength of the fluorescent light emitted by the phosphor part; and the phosphor part contains, in addition to the fluorescent material, particles that scatter the light produced by the first and second solid-state light sources.
