Abstract:
A light source device according to the present disclosure includes: a sapphire plate that has a first surface and a second surface opposed to each other; a wavelength conversion material that is located opposed to the first surface of the sapphire plate; and a first excitation light source that emits first excitation light having directivity, to the wavelength conversion material through the second surface. The angles of the first surface and the second surface with respect to a c-axis of the sapphire are less than 10 degrees, and the angle between the c-axis and the optical axis of the first excitation light is 5-75 degrees.
