The purpose of the present invention is to prevent decreased reliability of a phosphor wheel due to the temperature rise therein. A light source device according to the present invention includes a wheel (42), a motor (45), a rotating member (70), and a contact member (71). The wheel includes a luminous body (41) that is excited by excitation light to emit visible light, and a base body (43) that has a first surface (43a) and a second surface (43b) on the opposite side of the first surface, supports the luminous body on either the first surface (43a) or the second surface (43b), and has a first linear expansion coefficient. The motor generates a torque for rotating the base body. The rotating member is connected to the first surface of the base body, is rotated integrally with the base body by the torque of the motor, and has a second linear expansion coefficient different from the first linear expansion coefficient. The contact member is connected to the second surface of the base body, and has a third linear expansion coefficient having the same magnitude relationship to the first linear expansion coefficient as the magnitude relationship of the second linear expansion coefficient to the first linear expansion coefficient.
