Abstract:
An information display system whereby video information displayed in a video display device is superimposed on outside scenery via window glass or a combiner and can be visually recognized by an observer, wherein the information display system comprises a light source device for supplying light having a specific polarization direction at a narrow divergence angle to the video display device, the position at which video information is reflected is changed by holding constant the observation angle at which the observer visually recognizes the video and arranging the video display device such that the position or angle thereof with respect to the window glass is changed, and the size of a virtual image and the display distance of the virtual image visually recognized by the observer are varied according to the state of installation of the information display system in a vehicle.
