Abstract:
Provided are a light source device and a light projection device comprising the same, which are capable of scanning an incident surface of a wavelength conversion member with a beam spot narrowed to be a small beam spot, and making a light amount distribution substantially uniform over the entire scanning range. A light source device (2) comprises: a laser light source; a wavelength conversion member (15) for converting a wavelength of laser light into another wavelength and diffusing the wavelength-converted laser light; a light deflector (14) for scanning with the laser light the incident surface of the wavelength conversion member (15) at least one-dimensionally; and an optical element (19) disposed in the optical path of the laser light between the laser light source and the wavelength conversion member (15). The optical element (19) comprises a plurality of lens units in a region to be irradiated with the laser light. Each lens unit provides the laser light, which has entered each lens unit, with an optical action such that the laser light is superimposed on substantially the same spot in the vicinity of the incident surface of the wavelength conversion member (15) while being converged.
