Abstract:
Provided is a light source device that makes it possible to efficiently obtain high-luminance light. A light source device (100) according to the present disclosure comprises: an excitation light source (10) that emits excitation light having an energy density of 10W/mm2 or more; and a phosphor layer (40) that has a matrix (41) and phosphor particles (42) embedded in the matrix (41). The phosphor particles (42) include at least one substance selected from the group consisting of metal oxides represented by general formula (1) and metal oxides represented by general formula (2).
