Abstract:
The present invention prevents the appearance of periodic patterns superimposed on transmitted light in a two-dimensional lens array or a cross-cylindrical lens array for speckle reduction. This light source device comprises: a light emission region (Gs) formed by a coherent light source (Sc); a light mixing means (Fm) wherein angle and position components of incident light rays from a light incident end (Pmi) are mixed and light is emitted from an emission end (Pmo); and a light beam matching optical system (Eu) for projecting a light beam emitted from the light emission region (Gs) on the light incident end (Pmi). The light beam matching optical system (Eu) is equipped with a two-dimensional lens array (Lar) that functions as a light diffusing means. The effective area of the two-dimensional lens array (Lar) is composed of at least one sub-region, and the arrangement of the vertices of individual lenses constituting the sub-region is aperiodic.
