Abstract:
The present invention provides a light source device (200) in which the temperature around a fluorescent wheel (100) is lowered so as to ensure efficient heat transfer from the fluorescent wheel (100) to the atmosphere. The light source device (200) that emits excitation light or emission light caused by the excitation light, is provided with: an excitation light source (210) which radiates the excitation light; the fluorescent wheel (100) which has, disposed in a circumferential direction thereof, a fluorescent substance that emits light of a predetermined wavelength range upon reception of the excitation light; a drive unit (220) which rotates the fluorescent wheel (100); and a shielding member (240) which is disposed surrounding the excitation light source (210) and the fluorescent wheel (100) so as to provide shielding for the excitation light and the emission light, wherein a part of the shielding member (240) is provided with an opening (250) for taking in outside air.
