Abstract:
Disclosed is a light-source device that gathers and outputs light that has been emitted from a light source, the light-source device including: said light source which is arranged inside a reflection box; a plurality of cylinder-like or prism-like light-guide elements each having two end surfaces with different areas; and a light-separating means. The reflection box has a plurality of openings formed therein. Each light-guide element is provided in the opening in a manner such that the end surface thereof with the smaller area faces the light source. The light-separating means is located between one of the openings and another opening adjacent thereto. Thus, it is possible to provide a small-sized light-source device that emits high-power, highly directional light, and a simulated-solar-light irradiation device using said light-source device.
