Abstract:
In order to provide a light source device the front cover of which is easily removed and which can be mounted easily in a socket even when the ferrule is a threaded type, a light source device (1) is equipped with a tubular body (10) having an aperture (11), a light-emitting module (20) housed within the body (10), and a front cover (40) attached to the aforementioned aperture of the body (10), and is constructed such that an annular flange part (14) is provided at the aperture-side end part (10a) of the body (10), multiple claw parts (44) are provided on the outer circumferential edge (43) of the front cover (40), and the front cover (40) is fitted into the aperture-side end part (10a) such that the flange part (14) is covered by the outer circumferential edge (43). A stopper surface (15a) is formed on the flange part (14) in order to restrict the rotation of the aforementioned cover around the tube axis (J) of the body (10) by at least one of the claw parts (44) making contact with the flange part.
