Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem in which, when generating a light distribution pattern by controlling a plurality of light sources (4) connected in series according to respectively different on-duty ratios, the light distribution pattern is highly constrained and unstable lighting-up occurs due to reduced voltage. To address this problem, the present invention provides a light source device comprising a plurality of light sources (4) connected in series, switches (5) connected in parallel with each of the light sources (4), a light source driving circuit (7) that supplies a current to the configuration of the light sources (4) and the switches (5), and switch controlling means (3, 6) that control the switching on-off of the switches, wherein the switches (5) are switched on or off on the basis of light source control information to thereby control dimming according to on-duty ratios of the light sources (4), sequentially turn on each of the light sources (4) in descending order from the one with the largest on-duty ratio, and sequentially turn off each of the light sources (4) in ascending order from the one with the smallest on-duty ratio.
