Abstract:
Provided is a light source driving device (20) that drives a plurality of light-emitting element groups in a light source device that outputs composite light obtained by combining the light emitted by the light-emitting element groups, wherein: the light source driving device has a control circuit (201) that supplies, to the plurality of light-emitting element groups, a current that repeatedly alternates between a first period for supplying a first current and a second period for supplying a second current having a current value different from the current value of the first current, the control circuit (201) supplying the second current to a second light-emitting element group when the first current is being supplied to a first light-emitting element group, and supplying the first current to the second light-emitting element group when the second current is supplied to the first light-emitting element group; a target value of a light intensity obtained with the composite light is greater than a light intensity when the current of a rated value is applied to any one of the light-emitting element groups; and the total of the current value of the first current and the current value of the second current is greater than the rated value.
