Abstract:
Disclosed are a light source unit, lighting device, display device, and television receiver which are capable of preventing a decrease in display quality. In this light source unit, light guide bodies (34) have a light guide part (34B), which guides incident light, and an emission part (34A), which emits from a light emission face (41) the incident light that has been guided by the light guide part (34B); the light guide part (34B) of one light guide body (34) is overlapped by the emission part (34A) of another light guide body (34), and a reflecting layer (50) which reflects incident light into the light guide body (34) is provided in the region extending from the light guide part (34B) to the emission part (34A) of the face opposing the light emission face (41) of the light guide body (34). For the region of this reflecting layer (50) that is located between the light guide part (34B) of one light guide body (34) and the emission part (34A) of another light guide body (34), the transmittance of the light which is incident to the reflecting layer (50) to the interior of the light guide body (34) and/or the exterior of the light guide body (34) is set higher than for other regions.
