Abstract:
Provided is a light source unit having improved light extraction efficiency. The light source unit 30 comprises: a rectangular light-emitting element substrate 12 on which a plurality of light-emitting elements 11 that form a rectangular shape are mounted in a matrix; a reflective member 14 that is provided so as to surround a rectangular light-emitting element mounting area X on the light-emitting element mounting surface of the light-emitting element substrate 12, said reflective member 14 having a shape that widens in the main emission direction of the plurality of light-emitting elements 11; and a translucent cover 20 provided so as to cover the reflective member 14 and the light-emitting element mounting area X. The power consumption per light-emitting element 11 is 0.1 W to 0.7 W. The length L2 of the light-emitting element mounting area X in the lengthwise direction thereof is 82% or less of the length L1 of the light-emitting element substrate 12 in the lengthwise direction thereof. The length L4 of the light-emitting element mounting area X in the short-side direction thereof is 52% or less of the length L3 of the light-emitting element substrate 12 in the short-side direction thereof.
