The light source unit (17) according to the present invention is provided with: a plurality of light sources (21), each light source having a pair of terminals (217, 218); and a light source substrate (22). The light source substrate (22) comprises: a flexible insulating support layer (222); a wiring part (223) which is formed on the support layer (222) and supplies electricity to the light sources (21); a plurality of mounting parts (227) each of which has a pair of land parts (225, 226) provided part-way along the wiring part (223) isolated from and facing each other, each mounting part (227) being allocated to a light source; an insulating coating layer (224) having a plurality of opening edge parts (228) which expose the mounting parts (227) and are formed on the support substrate (222) in a manner that covers the wiring part (223); latching edge parts (229a, 229b) which are formed from part of the opening edge parts (228) and superimpose the land parts (225, 226) non-linearly in the planar view; and soldered parts (230, 230) which fit closely to the latching edge parts (229a, 229b) and connect the terminals (217, 218) to the land parts (225, 226).
