Abstract:
A light-transmitting resin coating composition which is for use in a light-reflecting member and which has high ultraviolet resistance, high degree of crossliking and high gas barrier properties and thus enables long-term retention of high reflectivity even under high-temperature conditions. The light -transmitting resin coating composition comprises (A) an acrylic resin which has hydroxyl groups as crosslinking sites, (B) 20 to 80 parts by mass of a melamine resin per 100 parts by mass of the solid matter of the acrylic resin (A), and (C) 0.1 to 10 parts by mass of an epoxy-containing silane compound or acrylic resin per 100 parts by mass of the solid matter of the acrylic resin (A). Since the light-transmitting resin coating composition comprises a light-resistant acrylic resin which acts as a base component for the coating for silver, a melamine resin which exhibits high crosslinking properties, and an epoxy compound which exhibits high tight adhesiveness, the light -transmitting resin coating composition has high ultraviolet resistance, high degree of crosslinking, and high gas barrier properties, and thus enables long-term retention of high reflectivity even under high-temperature conditions.
