Abstract:
Disclosed is a lighting apparatus, wherein damages due to friction between a reflection sheet and a light guiding plate can be prevented or inhibited, even when stress is applied to the reflection sheet side from a housing member due to unevenness at the bottom plate of the housing member. A backlight apparatus (24) is provided with: a light guiding plate (20) comprising light-entering faces (20a) formed on the side faces thereof, a light-exiting face (20b) formed on the surface of a board face thereof, and an opposite face (20c) that is a face opposite the light-exiting face (20b); LED units (32) arranged facing the light-entering faces (20a) of the light guiding plate (20); a reflection sheet (26) arranged in contact with the opposite face (20c) of the light guiding plate (20); a backlight chassis (22) that has a bottom plate (22a), and that houses at least the reflection sheet (26) and the light guiding plate (20) at the surface side of the bottom plate (22a), in that order from the bottom plate (22a) side; and a dampening sheet (27) that is arranged between the backlight chassis (22) and the reflection sheet (26), and that can dampen the stress applied to the reflection sheet (26) by the bottom plate (22a).
