A lighting apparatus (1) is provided with an outer wiring member (320) and light emitting modules (100, 200). Each of the light emitting modules includes a plurality of light emitting panels (10), and each of the electrically connecting units (141, 241) that is electrically connected to the light emitting panels (10). The light emitting panels that are provided in each of the light emitting modules are electrically connected via the outer wiring member by having the electrically connecting units connected to each other by means of the outer wiring member. The light emitting module (100) is provided with a drive control unit (150). The drive control unit drive-controls the light emitting panels that are provided in the light emitting module (100), and the light emitting panels that are provided in the light emitting module (200) that is not provided with the drive control unit (150). The lighting apparatus (1) can be configured from a small number of components.
