Abstract:
Provided is a lighting-device body that makes it possible to increase the amount of light that is directed toward a middle section and lower section of a wall surface and that enables uniform irradiation of the entire wall surface with highly controllable light. A lighting-device body (20) that is used in a position embedded in a ceiling surface with the central axis C0 thereof oriented in the vertical direction includes: a planar light source (70) having a light-emitting surface (72); and a reflector (80) that is formed in a bowl shape centered about an axis C1 thereof and that is disposed so as to cover a lower region of the light-emitting surface (72). The reflector (80) is disposed at an oblique angle such that the lower side of the axis C1 thereof is located close to a wall surface W. Furthermore, the reflector (80) has a first reflective surface (81) on the side closer to the light-emitting surface (72) than a virtual plane H2 that is perpendicular to the axis C1 is, the first reflective surface (81) having the shape of a paraboloid of revolution obtained by revolving a portion of a parabola lying in the same plane as the axis C1 about the axis C1, and also has a second reflective surface (82) on the side remote from the light-emitting surface (72), the second reflective surface (82) having the shape of an ellipsoid of revolution obtained by revolving a portion of an ellipse lying in the same plane as the axis C1 about the axis C1.
