Abstract:
Disclosed is a lighting device capable of improving reliability in electrical connections thereupon. A backlight device (12) comprises an LED substrate (18) that is formed in a rectangular shape, further comprising an LED (17) that is a light source thereof; a chassis (14) wherein the LED substrate (18) is housed; a light guiding member (19), positioned such that an end portion is in a state of opposition to the LED (17) of the LED substrate (18); and connectors (20) that are mounted upon the chassis (14), retain the LED substrate (18) in place, and electrically connect the LED substrate (18) to the exterior of the lighting device. Terminal units (18b) are disposed upon the LED substrate (18) and are electrically connected to the LED (17), and connection terminals (28) are disposed upon the connectors (20), and are in contact with the terminal units (18b) in a state whereupon relative sliding is allowed in the longitudinal direction of the LED substrate (18).
