Abstract:
A lighting device 12 according to the present invention is provided with: a light source 17 that emits primary light included in a prescribed wavelength region; a light guiding plate 19 having a light entering surface 19c at which the primary light enters, having a light outputting surface 19a from which the primary light is output, and having an opposite surface 19b disposed at the side opposite to the light outputting surface 19a; a reflector member 20 disposed so as to cover the opposite surface 19b; a wavelength conversion member 150 which contains a fluorescent material excited by the primary light so as to emit secondary light included in a wavelength region different from the above wavelength region, and which allows a part of the primary light to pass through the wavelength conversion member 150; and a complementary color portion 22 which is disposed so as to cover a space S1, formed between the light source 17 and a light entering end portion 190, at least from the light outputting surface 19a side, or to cover the light entering end portion 190 at least from the opposite surface 19b side, and which exhibits a color that has a complementary relationship with a reference color exhibited by the primary light.
