Abstract:
The present invention provides a lighting device provided with a light emitting element substrate that can be made small and also provides a display device. The present invention is a lighting device provided with a plurality of light emitting elements and a light emitting element substrate on which the plurality of light emitting elements are mounted and which has an elongated shape. The light emitting element substrate has a plurality of connecting terminals corresponding respectively to the plurality of light emitting elements, and a plurality of wirings connecting each of the corresponding plurality of light emitting elements and plurality of connecting terminals to each other. The plurality of light emitting elements is arranged longitudinally on the light emitting element substrate. The light emitting element substrate has first and second end parts in the longitudinal direction and has third and fourth end parts in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction. The plurality of connecting terminals are provided at any of the first, second, third, and fourth end parts, and all of the plurality of connecting terminals are not provided only on any one of the first and second end parts.
