Abstract:
This backlight device (12) comprises: an optical sheet (15); an LED (17) disposed at one end side of the optical sheet (15) in a first direction; a sheet support part (21) supporting the other end side of the optical sheet (15) in the first direction; a supported portion (22) supported by the sheet support part (21); and an abutting portion (25) comprising a section of the supported portion (22) abutted by the sheet support part (21). The abutting portion (25) includes a center side portion (25a) and an end side portion (25b) in continuity with one another. At least the center side portion (25a) extends from the end side portion (25b) toward the one end side relative to the first direction and along an oblique direction relative to the first direction and a second direction, thereby forming an oblique angle θ1 relative to the second direction that is greater than that formed by the end side portion (25b).
