Abstract:
Provided are a lighting device and a head-up display such that an arrangement interval between light-emitting element bodies of the lighting device is reduced by reducing the wiring width. The present invention includes: a first wiring section 681 including a common wire 681a electrically connected in common to multiple light-emitting element bodies 8 of a first group G1 and individual wires 681b electrically connected respectively to the multiple light-emitting element bodies 8 of the first group G1; a second wiring section 682 including a common wire 682a electrically connected in common to multiple light-emitting element bodies 8 of a second group G2 and individual wires 682b electrically connected respectively to the multiple light-emitting element bodies 8 of the second group G2; and a control unit 692 for controlling the multiple light-emitting element bodies 8. The control unit 692 is capable of executing first control to cause, among the multiple light-emitting element bodies 8, only some of the multiple light-emitting element bodies 8 to simultaneously turn on. The multiple light-emitting element bodies 8 of the first group G1 include light-emitting element bodies 8 which are not turned on by the first control.
