Abstract:
The present invention provides: a lighting device for an image sensor, the lighting device being capable of emitting light having high uniformity over a broad range in a main scanning direction and a sub scanning direction; and an image sensor. A lighting device for an image sensor according to the present invention has, for example, a light source and a light guide, wherein the light guide has: an incident surface onto which light from the light source is incident; an emitting surface from which the light incident from the light source is emitted toward a target to be irradiated; a facing surface positioned on the reverse side from the emitting surface; and a first light diffusing region and a second light diffusing region which are provided to at least one among the emitting surface and the facing surface. The first light diffusing region is provided to either or both of end sections, and diffuses light in the main scanning direction and the sub scanning direction, the second light diffusing region is proved to a central section of the light guide in the main scanning direction, and both light diffusing regions have a plurality of light diffusing parts which are protrusions or recesses, and the plurality of light diffusing parts both extend in the sub scanning direction.
