Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a lighting device and a passenger compartment lighting device capable of efficiently emitting as much light as possible by minimizing the light blocked by a lighting window. The lighting device (18) comprises an interior trim body (13) provided with a lighting window (20c) and attached to face the passenger compartment, a light source (22), and a light guide body (23). The light guide body (23) integrally comprises: a bar-shaped cylindrical part (26) having a pair of parabolic surfaces (26a) that follow the arc of an ellipse (31) having two focal points, a first and second focal point (f1, f2), in a cross-section of the bar-shaped cylindrical part (26) taken orthogonal to the longitudinal direction; a light incident surface (27) provided on one end surface of the cylindrical part (26) arranged facing the light source (22); a light control surface (28) which is provided at a location of the cylindrical part (26) substantially corresponding to the first focal point (f1), said light control surface (28) being orthogonal to a central axis passing through the first focal point (f1) and the second focal point (f2); and a light emission surface (29) which is provided, orthogonal to the central axis, at a location of the cylindrical part (26) closer than the second focal point (f2) to the first focal point (f1), said light emission surface (29) being on the opposite side from the light control surface (28). The light guide body (23) is configured such that the second focal point (f2) is arranged to substantially correspond to the lighting window (20c) of the interior trim body (13).
