Abstract:
Provided is a lighting device that reduces speckles. Provided is a projector that is equipped with said lighting device. This lighting device is provided with: a light source device; a first collimator optical system in which a light beam emitted from the light source device is incident; a light condensing optical system provided at a rear stage of the first collimator optical system; a rod provided at a rear stage of the light condensing optical system; a second collimator optical system provided at a rear stage of the rod; a lens integrator provided at a rear stage of the second collimator optical system; and a superimposed lens provided at a rear stage of the lens integrator, wherein the lens integrator includes a first lens array and a second lens array provided at a rear stage of the first lens array, and a light emitting end surface of the rod is approximately conjugated with a lens surface of the second lens array.
