Abstract:
Provided is a lighting device having a simple constitution and capable of lighting a plurality of regions through a light diffusing element that can be constituted to be compact. The lighting device 10 comprises a laser light source (coherent light source) 12, a light scanning device 14, an optical path adjusting element 16, and a light diffusing element 18. The laser light source 12 emits laser light (coherent light) L. The light scanning device 14 is capable of modifying the optical path of the laser light L from the laser light source 12. The laser light L from the light scanning device 14 enters the optical path adjusting element 16, the entering position of the laser light L varying according to the optical path determined by the light scanning device 14, and the exit angle of the laser light L varying according to this entering position. The laser light L from the optical path adjusting element 16 enters the light diffusing element 18, which scatters this laser light L and emits a diffuse light, the exit angle of the diffuse light varying according to the entering angle of the laser light L.
