Abstract:
A lighting experimentation system and method for reducing the ability of poultry to recognize red objects. A wooden testing box (1), which is a square wooden box, is provided with an opening at the top thereof; a square adjustable LED light source (4) is arranged directly above the opening of the wooden testing box (1); a first black PVC backdrop (2) is attached to the surface of each inner wall of the four sides of the wooden testing box (1); a horizontal slot is arranged at the bottom of the wooden testing box (1); a feed box (7) is arranged in the horizontal slot; an electric push rod (8) is connected to the feed box (7); two colored photographic papers (5) are fixed on an inner wall of the wooden testing box (1) and are located directly above the horizontal slot; a pressure sensor (6) is arranged between the color photographic papers (5) and the inner wall of the detection wooden box (1), the two color photographic papers (5) being pure-color photographic papers and each being of a different color; a second black PVC backdrop (3) is arranged outside of the inner wall on which the two color photographic papers (5) are located. The testing process is divided into three parts, in order: adaptation, training, and trials. The system and method can be used to test the effects of ambient light on the ability of poultry to recognize red objects, thus providing a poultry farming experimentation tool to be used for preventing and controlling cannibalism by means of ambient light.
