Abstract:
Invention object is a construction solution of spinning cylinders lighting in gaming machines for random number choice, as roulette, bingo/keno, dice, etc; where the spinning cylinder (2) is illuminated with the light source, produced by the light bodies (4), in the circumference of the cylinder or cone carrier (1), which are radially lighting the spinning cylinder (2) and so also the entire gaming surface, gap (3) prevents the light radiation outside of the spinning cylinder circumference (2) and enable ideal lighting of the gaming surface. Light emitting diodes (LED) may be used as light sources.

PATENT CLAIMS

1. Spinning cylinders lightning in gaming machines for random number 5 choice characterized in that, the installation of carrier (1) is in the centric axe of spinning cylinder on the circumference, where the light bodies are installed to (4). o 2. Spinning cylinders lightning in gaming machines for random number choice, as per requirement 1 characterized in that, the cylinder or cone is form of the carrier (1 ). 5 3. Spinning cylinders lightning in gaming machines for random number choice, as per requirement 1 and 2, characterized in that, the gap (3) set before the light bodies (1); gap (3) is configurable with added masks, formed by lying edges (5) of the upper part of the carriero (1) at the upper side; and horns (7) of the ring (6) at the lower part.

characterized in that, the primarily light LED diodes is as light bodies (4).

Description:

LIGHTNING OF SPINNING CYLINDERS IN GAMING MACHINES FOR RANDOM NUMBER CHOICE

Invention object is a construction solution for spinning cylinders' lightning in gaming machines for random number choice, e.g. roulette, bingo/keno, dice, etc, where the spinning cylinder is lightened with light source, produced in the circumference of cylinder or cone carrier, installed light bodies that lighten the spinning cylinder radically and so also the entire gaming surface. The invention belongs to class F21V 33/00 of international patent classification.

Technical problem, that is successfully solved by the invention, is the construction solution of appropriate lightning of spinning cylinder and gaming surface, partially the spots, where the ball is circling the circumference before it falls into a field, and the part where the ball falls into a field, but also with the roulette version where the spinning cylinder and gaming surface is covered with protecting dome of transparent plastic material, where the reflections disturb the visibility.

Known methods of lightning are, besides general room lightning, which is, due to reflections inappropriate for gaming machines with spinning cylinder, covered with transparent dome; produced in a way that the local

lightning of gaming surface, so the spinning cylinder and marked fields, comes from lightning elements, installed at the circumference around the spinning cylinder.

So, the solution from SI patent N'21413 is known, that has a strap with lights built in, covered with optical ring that dispenses the light. Such a solution enables good visibility only with a strong light source, additionally reduced by the optical ring. Stronger light source usually has also bigger consumption and requires better cooling, which cannot be done in suggested case due to installation of light sources into a closed room. After the invention, the set technical problem is solved with the help of light source installation to the axes of spinning cylinder, where is, hence the usual construction characteristics of the gaming machine - roulette, the cylinder or the cone. If this is not the case, we additionally install it and also install light bodies inside it (the number depends on the size of the spinning cylinder), but it definitely must be of the size that covers the shadows, thrown by individual light body. The vertical angle of the lightning sets the size of the cylinder or cone gap, while the masks, added to the lower and upper part of the light are stopping the light radiation outside the circumference and enable ideal lightning without the shadows and reflections.

The invention will be explained in details based on a case study and picturesthat show:

Submitted pictures show the invention object, which solve the set technical problem with the help of cylinder or cone carrier 1 to the centric axe of spinning cylinder 2, while the light bodies 4 are installed in the circumference of the cylinder or cone carrier 1. The light bodies 4 radially light the spinning cylinder 2 and the gaming surface. The size of the gap 3 in cylinder or cone carrier 1 sets the lightning angle and can be set accordingly with added masks, formed by the lying edges 5 of the top part of the cylinder or cone carrier 1on the top side; and by the horns 7 of the ring 6 at the lower part. Gap 3 prevents light radiation outside of the

spinning cylinder 2 circumference and enable ideal lightning of the gaming surface.

Number of light bodies 4 depends on the size of the spinning cylinder 2 and thickness of cylinder or cone carrier 1 ; but it has to be such that enables shadow elimination between individual light bodies 4. Good lightning is ensured by such a number of light bodies 4 that the covering of light beam between individual light bodies 4 in horizontal direction achieves the status, shown on fig.4

Gaming surface and spinning cylinder 2 lightning in vertical direction is, as already mentioned, limited with gap 3. On the top side, the lying edges 5 of the upper part of cylinder or cone carrier 1 are set to such a height, where they enable the lightning of inner part of top edge of the gaming surface while the horns 7 of the ring 6 in the lower part set as lightning of the lower part of gaming surface with chambers for stopping the ball and also the part of spinning cylinder 2. While constructing the cylinder or cone carrier 1 or its edges 5 and ring 6 with horns 7, it is important that the light beam of the light bodies 4 is not causing the reflections or, that the gaming surface does not shine to the player; cylinder 2 has to be, on the other hand, as also the rest of the gaming surface, well lightened without shadows, which is enabled by the installation of light bodies 4 after the invention.

Figure 3 shows one of the possible versions of cylinder or cone carrier 1 structure to enable spinning cylinders lightning in gaming machines for

random number choice with display of light elements after the invention installation. Carrier 8 of the light bodies 4, form of which is shown on given cross-sections AA and BB, is set onto the axe part of the carrier 1 with performed edges 5. Carrier 8 has mostly cylinder shape with centrally expressed ring part 8a, where the light bodies 4 are installed. On the axe part of the carrier 1 , there is the ring 6 with horns 7 set, too. Mutual position of the carrier 8 and ring 6 and the height, up to which the carrier 8 is set to the axe part of carrier 1 are determining the size and position of the gap 3. This way the positioning of the light beam of the light bodies 4 is enabled easy and very accurately.

Light bodies 4 are primarily light LED diodes, but also other light source can be used.

With the given construction solution of spinning cylinders lightning in gaming machines for random number choice after invention fully solves the set technical issue, as the light bodies 4, set to spinning cylinder or cone carrier 1 enable adequate lightning of the cylinder and gaming surface, specially at the parts, where the ball circles around the circumference of the gaming surface before it falls into the field and the part, where the ball falls into the field; but also with the version, where the spinning cylinder and gaming surface are covered with protection dome from transparent plastic material, where the reflections cause visibility disturbance.
