Abstract:
A lightning protecting system of power transmission lines comprises a lightning rod
two supporting insulating columns and lightning protecting wires. The lightning rod
connected in series with an impedor is mounted on the top of an iron tower. The two
supporting insulating columns are mounted on the top of the iron tower and at the
two sides of the lightning rod. Mounted on the top of the two supporting insulating columns,
the lightning protecting wires have the same directions as the power transmission
lines which are mounted on the lower of the top of the iron tower and have dischargers
with their tip ends upwards. The lightning protecting wires are connected with
the lightning rod of the impedor by conducting wires. Three magnetic induction
choke devices respectively encircle the three transmission lines for decreasing
the high frequency pulse current of the lightning. The magnetic induction choke
devices have cylinder shape with cavity and are made of magnetic material. The
power transmission lines are mounted in the cavity and sealed by insulating material.
