Title:
LIGHTNING ROD STRUCTURE FOR GROUNDING ROD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/030242
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a lightning rod structure for a grounding rod and particularly to a lightning rod structure, coupled to a grounding rod, for discharging excessive electric currents flowing into the grounding rod by effectively directing the currents to the ground. The lightning rod structure to be coupled to a grounding rod according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a body having a disc shape and an inner hole; a plurality of lightning rods protruding radially from the outer circumferential surface of the body; and a fixation ring protruding slantly from the whole inner circumferential surface of the body, wherein the body, the lightning rods and the fixation ring are formed integrally. According to one embodiment of the present invention, by fitting a lightning rod structure, having a plurality of integrally formed lightning rods, around a grounding rod, rather than individually welding lightning rods to a grounding rod or attaching or pressing rods to or into a metal fitting for attaching rods, lightning rods can be easily fixed to a grounding rod and the dislocation or structural deformation of lightning rods due to corrosion can be prevented.
