Title:
LIGNIN-FATTY ACID DERIVATIVE, SPUN FIBER AND CARBON FIBER WHICH ARE MANUFACTURED THEREFROM, AND MANUFACTURING METHODS THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/158621
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed are: a lignin-fatty acid derivative; a precursor for manufacturing a carbon fiber, comprising same; a spun fiber and a carbon fiber which are manufactured from the precursor; a method for preparing the lignin-fatty acid derivative; and a method for manufacturing a lignin derivative-based carbon fiber by using same. The lignin-fatty acid derivative is obtained by functionalizing phenolated lignin with a fatty acid, and a spun fiber manufactured therefrom is ultraviolet cross-linkable and has improved flexibility, and thus is irradiated with ultraviolet rays to induce surface cross-linking and allow accelerated thermostabilization to be carried out thereby, so that a carbon fiber without welding and melting problems can be manufactured within a reduced processing time.
