Abstract:
A likelihood value calculation device comprises a likelihood value calculation unit (201) to which an equalization signal of a modulation signal is input, and which calculates a provisional likelihood value so that a bit value at each signal point becomes zero, with respect to each bit position, from the input equalization signal in accordance with a first control signal; an arithmetic inversion unit (202) which directly outputs the provisional likelihood value output from the likelihood value calculation unit (201) for each bit position in accordance with a second control signal, or which performs arithmetic inversion to the provisional likelihood value output from the likelihood value calculation unit (201) and outputs the inverted likelihood value; and an operation control unit (200) which retains control patterns for controlling the performances of at least the likelihood value calculation unit (201) and the arithmetic inversion unit (202) for respective combinations of radio systems and modulation systems, and generates the first and second control signals in accordance with a control pattern designated from the control patterns.
