A line control device for an earphone, the device comprising a filtering unit (200), a control unit (100), a first resistor (300), a second resistor (400), a first switch (500), a second switch (600) and a first capacitor (700). The first resistor (300) and the first switch (500) are sequentially connected in series between a power supply and the ground, and a common connection point of the first resistor (300) and the first switch (500) is connected to a first end (101) of the control unit (100). The second resistor (400) and the second switch (600) are sequentially connected in series between the power supply and the ground, and a common connection point of the second resistor (400) and the second switch (600) is connected to a second end (102) of the control unit (100). When the first switch (500) or the second switch (600) is switched from closed to open, the control unit (100) outputs a pre-set encoding pulse signal. When the first switch (500) or the second switch (600) is closed, an external terminal connected to the line control device performs a pre-set operation according to a voltage drop on the first resistor (300) or the second resistor (400). By means of the line control device, the same earphone can be used on terminal devices with different operating systems.
