Abstract:
A method for detecting a line from an image or picture is disclosed. The method may comprise the steps of: smoothing the picture; selecting an area in which the line is to be detected; determining a central pixel in the selected area; mounting a window centered on the central pixel; detecting a sum of differences in gradient angles of pixels surrounding the central pixel; classifying a pixel into a ridge and a valley; and removing a non-maximum value pixel.
