Abstract:
The present invention provides a line-of-sight-based control device and method and a medical device, whereby whether or not a line-of-sight movement is intended by a user can be properly determined, and the imposition of a burden on the user can be prevented. The line-of-sight-based control device is equipped with: a display screen (12A); a display control part (22) for causing an icon having an animated image to be displayed on the display screen; a line-of-sight detection part (24) for detecting a user's line of sight; a tracking determination part (26) for determining whether or not a movement of the user's line of sight has followed the movement of the animated image on the basis of the detection result of the line-of-sight detection part; and an output part (16B) for outputting information indicating that the icon has been selected when the movement of the user's line of sight is determined as having followed the movement of the animated image by the tracking determination part.
