Abstract:
Provided is a line-of-sight detection device that obtains an image for generating a bright pupil image and a dark pupil image, by irradiating detection light once, and, as a result, increases the speed of light-of-sight detection processing. An image acquisition unit obtains an image from a plurality of cameras arranged so as to be separated by a prescribed distance whereby the optical axes thereof are not substantially the same. A plurality of light sources are each arranged such that the optical axes thereof become substantially the same as one of the plurality of cameras. As first image acquisition for detection light from one first light source among the plurality of light sources, the image acquisition unit obtains an image for extracting a bright pupil image, using a camera having substantially the same axis as the first light source, and obtains an image for extracting a dark pupil image, using a cameral not having substantially the same axis as the first light source.
