Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to expand the range in which a line-of-sight can be changed, particularly in the pan direction. Further, according to the present invention, high-speed line-of-sight change can be obtained. A pan mirror can turn in the forward and reverse directions about a third rotation axis. The third rotation axis extends in a direction that is roughly parallel to a line-of-sight direction from a tilt direction control unit towards the pan mirror. An angle α formed by the pan mirror and the third rotation axis is set to be in the range of 0˚<α<90˚. A tilt-direction control unit can scan the line-of-sight direction with respect to a virtual plane formed by the rotation trajectory of the pan mirror. Further, the tilt-direction control unit can control the tilt angle of the line-of-sight direction from the pan mirror to a subject. The pan mirror turns about the third rotation axis and thereby controls the pan angle of the line-of-sight direction from the pan mirror to the subject.
