Abstract:
A linear actuator (100) has: a motor (102); a movable section (104) having a first magnet (111) and an output shaft (116); a rotating section (106) rotated and driven by the motor (102) and having a second magnet (112) and a third magnet (113), the second and third magnets (112, 113) being arranged on both sides of the first magnet (111) in the axial direction (A) of the output shaft (116) with a gap provided between the first magnet (111) and each of the second and third magnets (112, 113), the second and third magnets (112, 113) being connected by a non-magnetic material (120); and a spring member (108)(limiting section) for limiting the range of movement of the movable section (104). The facing surfaces of the first magnet (111), the second magnet (112), and the third magnet (113) have magnetic poles which are alternately different in the rotational direction (R) of the rotating section (106), and the magnetic poles of the facing surfaces of the second magnet (112) and the third magnet (113) have the same phase.
