Abstract:

Provided is a linear actuator, which has a simple structure, can be manufactured at low cost, furthermore, has less magnetic leakage, and can provide a large inertial force without increasing the number of parts and weight. The linear actuator is provided with: an output shaft (12), which is so supported to a supporting case (11) as to linearly reciprocate; an elastic member (13) which presses the output shaft (12) to the middle position of the linear reciprocation; a permanent magnet (14) fixed to the output shaft (12); a coil (15), which linearly reciprocates the output shaft (12) by having a variable magnetic field operate to the permanent magnet (14), and is fixed to the supporting case (11) such that the coil faces one of the magnetic poles of the permanent magnet (14); a yoke (16), which has a midway section thereof adhered and fixed to the other magnetic pole of the permanent magnet (14), extends to the outer side of the coil (15) along the outer side of the permanent magnet (14) with a space between the permanent magnet (14) and the yoke, has an end section thereof disposed close to the outer side of the coil (15), and is composed of a magnetic material; and a power supply means for forming a variable magnetic field to the coil (15).
