Abstract:
This linear actuator comprises an electric motor 21, and a linear motion conversion mechanism 23. The linear motion conversion mechanism 23 comprises a screw shaft 24 and a nut 25 which screws onto the screw shaft 24, and is configured such that the nut 25 moves linearly in response to rotation of the screw shaft 24. In this linear actuator, a hole 35 coaxial with an axis of rotation O1 of the screw shaft 24 is provided in the screw shaft 24. Furthermore, axial alignment between the electric motor 21 and the linear motion conversion mechanism 23 is performed by inserting a tip end part of a motor shaft 29 that is coaxial with a rotor 28 of the electric motor 21 and that rotates integrally therewith into the hole 35.
