Abstract:
A linear encoder device (60) is provided with: a synchronized signal generation unit (83) which, on the basis of a signal outputted by a first sensor (66) provided to face a linear scale (61), generates a periodic synchronized signal synchronized with a movement distance when the first sensor (66) has moved along the linear scale (61); a reference signal generation unit (82) which, on the basis of a signal outputted by a second sensor (67) provided together with the first sensor (66), generates a pulse sigal indicating that a reference mark has been detected; and a reference position detection unit (84) which, when the synchronized signal changes to a predetermined value after the reference signal generation unit (82) has generated the pulse signal, generates a reference position signal indicating that a predetermined reference position has been detected.
