Abstract:
A linear light source (20) is provided with a linear material (11) which can propagate entered light inside, and the linear light source emits light by having the liner material (11) propagate light inside. The linear light source is further provided with a light emitting element (12), which is arranged on one end of the linear material (11) and outputs light so that light enters from such end of the liner material (11), and a light receiving element (21) which is arranged on the other end of the linear material (11) and detects light propagated through the linear material (11). Thus, the linear light source which can detect abnormalities such as breakage of the linear material and an electronic apparatus provided with the linear light source are provided.
