Abstract:
Provided is a linear motion guide device in which damage is less likely to occur in tangs of an end cap, even when said device is used under high-speed conditions. An end cap (22) has tangs (25) on the raceway-side end of arc grooves (222), which form the outer peripheries of direction change paths (42), said tangs (25) scooping up balls (3) from raceways (41) and guiding said balls (3) to the direction change paths (42). The leading edge surface (251) of each tang comprises flat surfaces (251a) that are perpendicular with respect to the direction along the raceway (41) and an arc surface (251b) that is recessed in an arc shape from the flat surfaces. The radius of curvature of the arc surface is less than the radius of the ball. The center of a circle representing the curvature of the arc surface is present on a line that is offset from the groove bottom line of the arc groove by at least the offset amount between a guide rail-side raceway groove (12) and a slider-side raceway groove (212).
